Huntington Manor Assisted Living & Huntington House
The buildings on our campus include: (1) Huntington Manor, licensed for 21 residents, (2) Huntington House, licensed for 6 residents, (3) a 1,000 square foot garage, used for storage, (4) a 2,000 square foot basement, also used for storage, and (5) a dormitory for staff on the second floor of the Huntington Manor building. Both Huntington Manor and Huntington House are accessible for wheelchairs and walkers, and convenient for residents with ambulation limitations, with nosills, lips, stairs, or discontinuous grade changes to restrict or limit access for our residents. The site is nestled against the foot of Twin Peaks, the tallest hills in the urban part of Poway, secluded and quiet, bounded by a school athletic field to the south, and exclusive estate homes on the east, north, and west. Horse trails meander along the southern and eastern boundary lines, with joggers, dog walkers, and people on horseback waving and smiling to our residents. Yet shopping on Poway Road is just minutes away, as is medical help in case of emergencies at Pomerado Hospital on the other side of the Twin Peaks mountain.
Huntington Manor specializes in caring for residents requiring special assisted living care, especially for those needing hospice services. With twenty-one of our twenty-seven beds approved for hospice care and sixteen beds approved for those who are bed bound, we are uniquely qualified for residents needs hospice care, and are unrivaled in this specialty by any other residential care facility in the North County area.
Activities & Events
Huntington Manor focuses on activities and events designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit. We provide our residents with opportunities such as assisted walks throughout our gardens, the opportunity to hand-pick floral bouquets, exercise, play bingo and socialize with family and friends at community and monthly events. Some of our most enjoyed events has been "Watercolor Paint Outs" with the San Diego Water Color Society.
Our senior care programs are designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Every day, Sunrise residents have multiple opportunities to socialize, deepen friendships and find a source of inspiration and meaning through interaction with team members and other residents. Many activities are suggested by senior residents at each community, so activity calendars may vary by location.
